Myth Soy = Estrogen = Bad ❌
✅ Fact: Phytoestrogens in soy are NOT human estrogen! “Phyto” = “Plant” – Most plants like legumes, fruits and veggies that we (and animals) eat contain phytoestrogen.
Phytoestrogen does not have the same effects on the body as human estrogen, and therefore do not lead to hormonal imbalances or cause cancer like many myths out there claim.
In fact, eating organic, non-gmo soy products has been shown to have these powerful health benefits:
1️⃣ Soy protein can lower LDL cholesterol levels, reducing the risk of heart disease.
2️⃣ Soy is low in saturated fat and high in protein, making it a great option for weight loss and maintenance.
3️⃣ Soy is a complete protein source and contains important fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
4️⃣ Studies show that consuming soy regularly may lower the risk of breast and prostate cancer.
5️⃣ Isoflavones in soy have been linked to increased bone density and a lower risk of osteoporosis.
IF you still believe soy messes with your hormones, then remember that 80% of the world’s soybean crop is fed to livestock, which humans then eat 😳
AND if you’re worried about hormones, remember: animals have hormones! 🐄🐓🥛
Take Dairy Milk, it’s natural purpose is to turn a 65-pound calf into a 700-pound cow as rapidly as possible. So it contains: Growth Hormone (BGH), IGF-1, Progesterone, Estrogen and Prolactin….
I’ll take organic soy milk over dairy milk every day 😆
