If you’re looking for a light and refreshing way to jump start your digestion in the morning, this green apple cucumber smoothie is for you!

With ingredients like cucumber, celery and chia seeds, it is super hydrating and packed with fiber. Plus the green apple provides just enough sweetness and carbohydrates for a nice little energy boost. It’s like nature’s perfect pre workout drink.

Glow Up Green Apple Cucumber Smoothie Ingredients

  • Granny Smith Apple- Green apples are most ideal to keep the smoothie low in sugar but any variety will work. Remove the core but leave the peel on if you want to keep the fiber content.
  • Cucumber- Any kind of cucumber will work. I just chop it up and throw it in. No need to peel or remove the seeds.
  • Celery- We’re not using a ton of celery but if you’re averse to the flavor, you can substitute with more cucumber.
  • Chia Seeds- This gives the smoothie a small boost of protein and healthy fats.
  • Lemon Juice (optional)– I like to include a small squeeze of lemon juice to add a bit of Vitamin C, but the smoothie is just as good without it.
  • Water- To help get things blending. Feel free to add more if you like a thinner consistency.
  • Ice Cubes- Optional but helps it feel more like a smoothie with an icy texture.
