Try this new tofu steak recipe with tamarind and soy milk sauce. It is really good and delicious! The coconut milk in can here where I live is so expensive, so I tried to find an alternative since soy milk is common and the cheapest here I used it for this dish instead of coconut milk! The ingredients for the pancake batter: 2 cups self-rising flour 1/2 T. corn starch 1/2 T. organic cane sugar 1 1/2 Cups of Silk unsweetened coconut milk (add to desired thickness of batter) 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract (optional) 2 T. pure maple syrup (optional) Blend the dry ingredients first and then add the wet ingredients second. Cook on medium heat in 2 T. of a plant based oil in a skillet. I use Earth Balance Soy-free soft spread plant based butter to spread on the pancakes. Enjoy yourself! source
