Tofu Time – Season 2, Ep 5: Chickpea Tofu (soy-free)
It’s Tofu Time! This is a series covering the different types of tofu and how to cook with them. Today, we’ll be making soy-free tofu, out of chickpeas, from scratch. Thank you for being patient while I worked on this recipe. Now it’s all yours. 😊
🤓 Why make it at home? Soy-free tofu is rare to find on the market and if it’s available, it’s typically on the pricier side. This is an affordable and simple recipe anyone can make at home.
👩🏻🍳 Steps to make chickpea tofu:
1. Soak dried chickpeas overnight
2. Blend with water to make chickpea milk
3. Cook the chickpea milk until it thickens
4. Transfer to a container and set in the fridge for 1 hour
5. Enjoy!
