Recipe
10- slices of stale bread, cut into cubes
2-3 cups of unsalted roasted peanuts (can be air-fried)
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp ground ginger
½ tsp chili powder (or to taste)
½ tsp garlic powder
Water, as needed (to thin the sauce)
Hot sauce (optional, for serving)
Heat coconut oil in a pan.
Add the bread cubes and toast them over medium heat until crispy and golden brown
Finely chop most of the peanuts with a knife or pulse in a food processor.
Grind a smaller portion (about ¼ of the total) into a thick paste, like peanut butter
Mix the peanut paste with soy sauce, black pepper, ginger, chili powder, and garlic powder.
Add water little by little until the sauce reaches a thick but pourable consistency.
Pour the sauce over the toasted bread cubes and mix well or shake in a bowl to evenly coat.
Sprinkle the chopped peanuts on top and toss again.
Serve with hot sauce or adjust seasoning to taste.
