Ingredients
2 cups Soy Beans
2 litre Water
Juice of 2 lemons
Recipe
– Soak soy beans overnight. Blend soy beans with water until all the beans are crushed and you have a thick paste.
– Strain the paste and separate the pulp. If the paste is too thick to strain, add water.
– Knead the residue with flour and use it to make paranthas or in any other recipe of your choice.
– Pour the strained milk in a pot and heat it on a medium flame until hot. Don’t boil. Stir frequently.
– Add lemon juice slowly to the milk while stirring to make soy paneer/curds.
– Transfer the soy paneer to a mould or a cloth to get rid of all the whey. Place some weight on the mould for firm tofu.
And, it’s done! Sprinkle some salt, chaat masala, chilli powder and lemon to make chaat and use it to make any other Indian recipe to replace regular paneer.
