A bunch of vegan eats in Japan ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ) from my last two trips this year!
Eating vegan in Japan isn’t too hard in the major cities (and there are staples in the cuisine that are already vegan by default), but I definitely recommend planning ahead.
I will say, I found eating gluten free in combination with vegan fairly difficult. In Japanese cuisine, soy sauce is used a lot (contains gluten) and it seems like a lot of the gluten free options aren’t also vegan. I usually eat gluten when I travel so it wasn’t an issue for me but just an FYI.
My last trip before this year was over 6 years ago and the vegan options have increased tremendously—always grateful for options! Full vlog is on my channel, link in profile.
